Although it does get cold up here in the mountains of British Columbia, we just can’t bring ourselves to burn these. What’s wrong with them? Nothing really. They’re simply combs with slight esthetic flaws such as, seams, knots, slight twists, etc. These are all common and natural occurrences in wood, and though some may consider these flaws, we consider them beauty marks that don’t affect the function of the comb in any way. What does this mean? Simple savings. If you don’t see the comb you want, check back often, every once in a while some combs end up on the Chopping Block.
Birdseye Maple is a beautiful rare figure formation found almost exclusively in Eastern Maple. Here at Big Red we got our hands on some of the nicest Birdseye Maple we’ve ever seen and we’re proud to offer it in our Big Red No.9. Stay Groomed Gentlemen.
The No.9 is designed with longer thicker teeth and increased spacing between them, which allows you to tackle your long, thick, curly beard with ease. As your beard grows, so does it’s grooming needs. Once your beard reaches a certain length, you’ll want to transition from your No.7 or No.5 to the No.9. We recommend making the transition once you’ve reach medium to long beard length. Not only will the No.9 glide through with ease, it will help detangle those gnarly, unruly tangles.
